Obama at 50% in Both Rasmussen and Gallup

The Gallup and Rasmussen tracking polls both have Barack Obama at 50% today.

Gallup:

Barack Obama leads Hillary Clinton in national Democratic nomination preferences by a statistically significant 6-percentage point margin, 50% to 44%, according to Gallup Poll Daily tracking interviews from March 11-13.

Rasmussen:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama leading Hillary Clinton 50% to 42% in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination (see recent daily results). This is the first time Obama has ever reached 50% in fifteen months of daily polling on the race.

Both are in a tie with McCain in the polls.

Do these national pollings matter? NO! Talk to me about polling from IN, KY, WV, PA, NC, MT, MI, FL or SD. Not national numbers.

The democrat party at large is sending a clear message "CLINTONS GO AWAY". I hope the rest of the states agree!

I think the message was pretty clear to Mr. I am better than you in OH and TX where the blacks voted for him and that's it with some liberal elitists and kids. They rejected him in both OH and TX. That is a bigger message after his 11 straight victories.

Idiot. How can you be Muslim or Christian at the same time. I don't see Fox news wingnuts going for Hagee/McCain.

Re: Obama at 50% in Both Rasmussen and Gallup (2.00 / 1)

I noticed this
Nationally, McCain is viewed favorably by 54% and unfavorably by 42%. Obama is now viewed favorably by 51% of likely voters nationwide, unfavorably by 46%. Clinton earns positive reviews from 47% of Likely Voters nationwide and negative assessments from 51% (see recent daily results). Among independent voters, those not affiliated with either Republicans or Democrats, McCain is viewed favorably by 56%, Obama by 51% and Clinton by 47%.

Obama and Hillary's positive and negative numbers are reversed: O pos 51/neg 46; Clinton pos 47/ neg 51. I think Clinton's tactics are backfiring.

You're missing the bigger picture (none / 0)

Clinton's ratings haven't changed all that much.  The difference between her ratings now and a few months ago probably represent a shift of 5% from positive to negative among Obama supporting Democrats and Independents.

Obama's unfavorables, however, are well above his levels of three months ago and he now has lower favorables and higher unfavorables than McCain.  Furthermore, there is room for more damage to his reputation as he is still not so well known by many.  Once he gets the nomination, look for the right to keep running with these Rev. Wright/Michelle images and see his unfavorables rise even more.

so much for the Clinton camp's strategy (2.00 / 2)

of fear, hate and racism.

If this is the result, they should keep it up.

Now lets wait for clinton supporters (2.00 / 1)

who talked about how obama was losing after being 2% down in the polls compared to Clinton.to say the poll is insignificant.

lets see if Obama can survive Wright (1.00 / 0)

and his anti American racist remarks. Its always Obamaniacs who bring race into everything. Ferraro merely spoke truth.
